On the day my best friend became a bride and a wife, as she was changing into her wedding gown, the zipper broke off.
I was fortunate to have the time to choose my moment and capture this beautifully composed scene, as her sister, bridesmaids, and attendants attempted to salvage the dress, mere moments before the ceremony.
The gown was as transformed as she was; we ended up sewing her into it, reinforcing the stitches with a row of safety pins down her spine.
