To help fresh water fishes to find a suitable habitat to nest and live, an artificial reef has been built in Lake Geneva, Switzerland using old Christmas trees in order to reduce environmental impact.
This started as an experiment based on suppositions only.
Suppositions where right and the experiment is a great success, all Christmas trees are crowded with perch eggs, this white ribbon you see on the branch, and yes this is underwater in a depth of about 15 meters/49 feet.
