Icelandic geyser Strokkur (churn) erupts every 8 minutes and has been the most reliable geyser in the area since 1963, when its channel was thoroughly cleaned. Strokkur was formed in an earthquake in 1789. Its explosive boiling water eruptions will reach up to 20 metres.
