A Moment of Self-Reflection

A man rows on the canals of Amsterdam,
He thinks to himself, I am but a man,
He thinks of the girls he has wronged with sin,
He thinks of the girls who have wronged him,
He wonders if life must always be this way,
He ponders if forever, hearts always must slave,
To love is to give and to give is to be chained,
Yet love is the greatest freedom remain,
Row, forever, his oars like his thoughts,
Row, forever, more faster than naught,
Down on the canals he thinks yet again,
Why am I thinking when I'm here to begin?

Enjoy the moments as they come to pass,
I'll tell you right now, such moments never last,
So keep your mind where you are just then,
Just row your boat down life with purpose and zen.
