Mobius Arch Under the Stars

I went back in my archives today to look at the pics I took while out in the High Desert near Lone Pine last Spring and came across this image of the Mobius Arch that was taken at midnight.

Looking through the files, I discovered that I had actually taken quite a few shots and I actually found two with very different exposures and thought I’d see how well they’d blend together.

What you see here is the result.

The night sky is much more representative of what I was seeing than the other picture I posted from that evening which was a 17 minute exposure and thus had some major star strails going on.

I upped the blue in the sky a tad for interest, but that is the only color shifting evident here. I’m not a Photo Journalist, I’m a Landscape Artist after all.

The blend is a pic shot at 200 ISO for 29 seconds and a second pic at 2500 ISO for 4 seconds.
