Lighting the Way
I found this lantern on a day trip to Fort Jackson in Savannah, Georgia this past summer. It is an electric lantern but it does have an old feel to it.

The old, or old looking, lamps mean so much to me. My wonderful father's nickname was "lamplighter", because on his radio show in the 1940s his theme song was "The Old Lamplighter." I have the record and love the song. Thanks so much for the memories, Regenia! It is a very lovely photograph!!!
