Cars are a big deal in a Gregory Crewdson photo shoot. He seems to favor the Caprice Classic. This cruddy brown Caprice is the one that seems to make an appearance in a lot of his images. No hubcaps. Beat up. Worn out. As a prop, it conveys that sense of angst and turmoil that exists in the lives of the people who show up in his images. This is the car parked in the middle of the street.
