All that glitters...
Some of the most difficult things to photograph (for me) are metal and glass. I've been practicing, and this is one of the images I thought was "getting there".
If anyone has any good tips on how to photograph these objects, please share!
(Lightbox is quite nice for this one)
You all have a great weekend. Tomorrow, I hope we will get to the Celtic Festival!
EXIF: Shot in RAW. f/4.0 @ 1/5 second, ISO 100, focal 50mm.

Ha! I can barely get the lens cap on straight! No help from me, but then it doesn't look like you need any. I especially love the rabbit and the vase.

Anne, looks pretty good to me, it is hard to get experts to leave comments on how photos can be improved here. Negative, although constructive comments, are very rare to see here. I like getting all the "Kudos" type comments but I wish the comment section had an area where people could add improvements they see that could be done (I know I would get hammered, but that is OK). There are some people here that are true masters in photography, others think that they are, and then the rest of us would like a little help along the on the way. If there was a place for anonymous feedback, maybe that would open people up to be more critical, the way it is now, 99.9% of all comments say 'great photo,’ it is hard to continue to grow with that type of critique. Photography is an art, for me, similar to the bikes and cars I build, I build them to make myself happy. I get annoyed by some peoples comments inside the box on how something should look but the comments on the foundation of my mechanical art, for instance drive train setup, a better way to have something wired on the bike are the types I listen to. It is the same as, for instance, you listing the F-stop, speed, etc, on your photo. That to me says "Hey, this is the foundation of my photo, anybody know of something I can tweak to make it even better?" Not all of us are professionals here, crap, I have to learn everything from "YouTube" videos...by the way "GREAT Photo!!!!!!!"

Thanks everyone, and Ed: I agree. I also wish one could get constructive critique on jpg. I think it might come down to a time commitment, and I do appreciate people's time . like the time it took you to write the comment above! THANKS!!!
