Chairs
These chairs haven't moved from this spot since I first started interning at Hunter College (Brookdale Campus) in October 2005. They're still there, in a not-so-hidden location on W. 25th Street, in this exact arrangement. The day these chairs are removed will be a true indication that everything as we know it is mutable.

You could do an entire essay on this. Shoot them at different times of day, in different seasons. That would visually portray what your caption describes. I'll be watching this space for more...
