Last night I was looking at images of Maura's family. Her dad "went home" on June 20, 2009. My dad "went home" April 21, 2008.
Although I did not grow up with him, his presence was always felt; just as it is now. I am not depressed, but I am thinking about him and wanted to make him a part of this journey of mine.
Thank you all for taking the time to look at my work; I am so very honored and touched by every single one of you.
This photo is as raw as it gets folks...
Have not combed the hair or brushed my teeth.

Another fantastic SP!! You are incredibly beautiful as always. A wonderful tribute to your father. I did not find my father until I was 17 but somehow, he was always in my thoughts. I am lucky to have him in my life now.

This is a beautiful tribute to your father and brought a tear to my eye. I lost my Dad March 22, 2008 so I know how you feel. I also lost my Mom in April 1991 and I still miss her. I will miss both of them always and I keep them close to me in my heart.

Your photo is so full of information without any words. One can still appreciate one's Father despite his absence; I too felt a real sadness when my Father passed away despite the fact that I really did not know him.

Dawn, Both my sister and fiance died & my dad who is a WWII hero is battling cancer right now. All I can say is this, "When we lose our loved one's, it's good to cry. It's good to laugh about the memories. It gets emontionally easier with time."
