37th Anniversary
Thirty-seven years ago, only six weeks after we met, Fred and I got married in a small church within Steamboat Springs, Colorado. I could write a book about how that all came about, but for now will settle for saying our gut instincts for being so right for each other, thankfully, turned out to be true. Not to say our marriage hasn’t had some mighty rough times, but the good and great periods far outnumber the not so good and downright agonizing ones. Time and again we’ve said it’s our deep friendship that holds us together when the going gets rough. Because of work related circumstances, this is the third time Fred and I are thousands of miles apart on our anniversary. I’m choosing to dwell on the fact that last year at this time we celebrated our 36th anniversary in Venice. We had a romantic and unforgettable meal at Restorante Ribo, a place that was highly recommended to us. As you can see it’s not much to look at from the outside, but inside is charming. Far more important, the food makes taste buds do a dance of joy. As soon as we walked into the place, we knew it was a winner, based on the tantalizing aromas and the number of locals dining there.

Happy Anniversary to you and Fred!! Sorry to hear you are sooo far apart, but only in miles not in the love for each other. I remember your pictures from last year. Wonderful shot Deb!

Fantastic shot Deb! Happy anniversary! Even though you're not together for this one you two have far more than most people we know! That's what counts!

Sorry you can't be with your sweetie on your anniversary. I am sure he is missing you too. The important thing is that miles cannot really separate you in spirit. I hope you have had a wonderful day of reminiscences, and anticipation of your reunion. Happy anniversary.

What a nice treat to wake up to. I echo it all, especially. Love isn't enough if you are not also best friends when things get rough. That's the glue.

Happy anniversary honey and I'll be home in a month.
