In honor of all those who have died for freedom and their country, here’s another shot (posted a few several months ago) I captured at the US WWII memorial cemetery near Carthage, Tunisia. This beautiful graveyard honors all the American soldiers who lost their lives during the Tunisian Campaign, a series of battles between Axis and Allied troops that eventually led to a major defeat to the Axis. 2,156 US soldiers were lost during this campaign and 6,528 remain missing.
To be honest, I went to this cemetery to just take some pictures for my brother, who is a WWII history enthusiast, but it turned into a very deeply moving experience that I'll never forget.
