Johnathan (he says it's not his real name) recently sent me a comment:

Comment by Johnathan White

a FOUR YEAR OLD with a god damn powershot could take a picture of a painting. THIS IS NOT YOUR ART WORK. you dont deserve all the attention you get. just because you favorite other peoples pictures, doesnt make you less of a shitty photographer. the only reason i dont have pictures up is because this isnt a real account. im a jpg member with a different account who is pissed off at all you terrible photographers running jpg. you favorite each other and make it damn near impossible for a GOOD photographer to be noticed. you are ruining the integrity of jpg, and its sickening. you have shit loads of pictures, and i could have taken ANY of them three years ago. btw im in highschool, and i STILL can tell your shitty at this, go post your pictures on flikr, your wasting space here.

Dear Jonathan (You will not tell who you really are so I'll just have to refer to you as Jonathan),

Long before I knew what an SLR camera was I owned a film camera. If you think I'm a dumbass photographer now you should have seen me back in December of 1997 when I shot a roll of film while we were in Cancun. I took the film out and forgot about it then accidently reloaded into the camera thimking it was a new roll of film and went out in April 1998 to shoot some pics of our youngest son before he headed off to the prom. When the film came back all the pics were double exposures and if that wasn't bad enough half a prom shot would show up on a Cancun shot while the other half would show up on another Cancun shot. Talk about dumbass photography.

Anyway, I stitched two together. Our older son (Stress One) appears at the bottom partying in Cancun while our younger son (Stress Two) appears at the top shooting hoops while the girls get ready for the photo shoot.

Unfortunately, I have no plans to leave JPG or stop uploading dumbass pics, but please feel free to comment any time. I think your comments are hilarious.

My offending photo can be found in the link below.

First I think Jonathan should grow up. Then stop thinking the world revolves around him. If he really wants to get a lot of favorites and comments he should get 100 of his worshippers to join JPG and then he’ll be set. Or now that he has a JPG fan club of two, himself and himself he could create a 100 more and be set. There is one JPG member that has done that but he has only 35 who only seem to admire his work and no one else’s. This guy’s work is Very Good I keep him as contact because his work is excellent and I keep hopeing he stops so I can comment and favor his work again. Maybe that’s Jonathan.

John, keep up the good work!!!!!

I was the recipient of one of Jonathan's rants as well on my 'signature dish' photo. The funny thing is that it's a hot photo, which is a choice made by JPG staff, not by my contacts. Obviously Jonathan is young and immature, and rather than admit who he is, he hides behind a fake account. Like, that's so totally high school, dude! I've come to see the humor in what he wrote, and only hope that he gains a better sense of self when he grows and matures. And thanks to you, John, for sharing his continuing immaturity.

A fitting tribute to a disturbed guy or gal (since he/she hides behind some wonderful name, we will never know). Hey, I got one comment from him too. I feel honored that he included me with you guys. It takes time and effort too, to make a bad comment also. As a good person as I am. I wish him luck and favored his only photo. I just remember something about if someone throw stone at you, throw a bread back, lol!

You know, livin' good and killin' folks with kindness is the best "revenge." To be honest, without John and Peggy Gardner and one or two others, I never would have gotten past the second upload. I had no self-confidence, but they encouraged me to keep going. I'm must having fun. No artistic pretensions, here. My thanks to all of my friends at JPG.

Now where are the great pictures taken by a 4 year old with a power shot? I want to start "favoring" them...

Unbelievable!! Jonhathan needs to read the photo guide lines, It doesn't matter how many favs, votes, or comments a picture has, in the end it's all up to the JPG staff to decide who gets published! This is one cool double exposure John!! Keep on rockin'!!

After careful consideration I think "Johnathan White" is a genius. He's trying to get jpgers to talk more, bond more, support each other more, speak out more, create against intolerance more, organize more. And it's working. Thanks J W!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XXOO

LOL!! Jonathon thinks my works sucks too. I almost threw away the three books, the magazines, and the news papers I have been published in along with the 90 plus ribbons I have won from competing around the world. I should write every internet site that has published my work and tell them to take all my work off because Jonathon thinks I suck. LOL.

Let's psychoanalyze Jonathan a little bit: he obviously is having trouble controlling events in his life, maybe his girlfriend just dumped him. To vent his angry spleen, he has chosen some of our JPG friends as his target. Maybe he should watch and learn, and be respectful to his elders.
