A detail of the Sibelius monument, one of the most popular sights of Helsinki (located at Sibelius park in Taka-Töölö). You can walk right into it, put your head into the tubes and listen to the echo of your calls :-)

This steel tube sculpture is created by Eila Hiltunen and was unveiled in 1967 to honor our national composer Jean Sibelius (1865-1957).

The large statue has over 600 tubes and weighs 24 tons! A miniature of it is located in Unesco headquarter square in New York.
