If you love an image (whether it's yours or someone else's) and want to make sure others get a chance to see it, you can “feature” it by choosing the “Spotlight” button.
When an image is Spotlighted, it receives enhanced visibility in premium spots throughout the site. Spotlighted images are rotated through these higher-visibility positions to ensure the best opportunity for the images to be seen by JPG users.
If you see a great photo that would make a perfect entry for one of our Shoot Out photo contests but it was uploaded by another user, now you can enter that photo in the contest and, if it wins, you get to share in the contest winnings.
Like a photo editor, if you've got an eye for great work, find it and submit it to a contest. If it wins, since you staked the entry fee, you'll take home part of the prize (the rest, of course, goes to the member who shot the image).

Joseph has been in photography all his life. He was born (1950) with a large format camera in his hand. His innovative pre birth photography was the pre-cursor to the Cat Scan. Doctors after seeing these photos quickly questioned him. He waved them off as he was on another project as a war photographer during the Korean War. Due to his very small size he got many ground level pictures. In the 1960s while walking across America he was in Dallas and got the Grassy Knoll photo that became famous. In 1968 he was a stowaway aboard the Apollo spacecraft and shot the first photos of the moon landing and proved that it was a hoax. It was not Known he was aboard the Apollo Craft until after the photos were released to the press. He spent the next 20 years in a CIA prison camp in Miami Beach, Fl with Jackie Gleasonat the Ritz a 5 start hotel. After his release he spent a year photographing Space Aliens at area 51. Due to his impressive credentials and complete honesty in recounting the history of his life he was encouraged to run for an was elected a U.S. Senator. Now he spends his time weighting Senate Bills ( with a scale) and relaxing on JPGmag.com
