It does snow on Mount Diablo every year, but usually only a dusting close to the top. This is a rare sight, when it's a large amount that almost reaches to the floor level.
I had to wait for a while once I set up for this shot. The winds were making clouds at the top, to the extent that you could not see the top 1,000 ft, which is a lot considering this mountain is only 4.000 ft high.
A friend of mine stated it well when he said to me “Mt Diablo almost looks like a real mountain today!”
That sums it up pretty well…
