During a trip across the Midwest with my cousins, I shot some black and white of the unchanging architecture that is evidence of unique and quiet time in our history, the 1950's. From the roof of an adjacent building, I saw an old Volkswagon parked behind a store which gave the image the nostalgic look I wanted. It made me curious about who owned it, then I wondered who lived in the apartments on the other side. The image epitomizes loneliness to me.
