I watched this snail for a while on my patio, and thought about how it carries its home around on its back. It navigated over leaves, cracked flagstone, a line of ants and never strayed from its path to its destination. When it finally reached the wall, it disappearing under some Virginia Creeper and I never saw it again. I was glad to capture a moment in its life.
