People celebrating the Cambodian Buddhist festival of Pchum Ben at Wat Sarawan, a Buddhist temple in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
These two women are widows (hence the closely cropped hair) and they have arrived very early in the morning to sit together in the temple's main prayer hall which will fill up with many people and lots of food later in the day.
Pchum Ben is a 15 day long festival with many rituals, including families coming to the temple dressed in their finest silk clothes to make offerings of food to monks who return the favor with blessings for the spirits of the family's deceased relatives.
In the story Pchum Ben at Wat Sarawan.
