People celebrating the Cambodian Buddhist festival of Pchum Ben at Wat Sarawan, a Buddhist temple in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
This man is scooping lots of rice into a large wok in the temple's kitchen. Food and eating are a central component of the Pchum Ben Cambodian Buddhist festival.
Pchum Ben is a 15 day long festival with many rituals, including families coming to the temple dressed in their finest silk clothes to make offerings of food to monks who return the favor with blessings for the spirits of the family's deceased relatives.
