Before we bought a digital, before I knew anything about photography, we went to Paris and fell in love with the city. This isn't one of my best pics (they are all already entered into some theme or other), but it's one of my favorites from back in the day. I have no idea why it's one of my favs or if it's even any good, but I'm entering it anyway.
Taken with a Kodak throw away camera in April 2000.

John, I am sure your narrative speaks for many. The best shots have already been uploaded, and many skills were only recently acquired. This is a very worthy entry, however, regardless of its age or technology. The color, the tone, and the juxtaposition of an ancient wonder made of glass (!) between two "modern" buildings (1700s perhaps) yield a compelling image, in my opinion.

You are absolutely correctamundo about previous entries, John, but this stands quite well on its own!! I, too, feel entries here must be meaningful to the photographer! Nice work!!

The composition is perfect, and this is one rockin' photo JL. Even the people walking were in cohoots with you that day...they couldn't have placed themselves in frame any better!:)

It isn't good because it's fabulous! I love the tones. The contrast between the very modern pyramid to the old historical architecture is outstanding. Excellent entry, John.
