While most of the country woke up to a "White" Christmas..... this is what we, here in Arkansas woke up to on Christmas morning... for two solid days, yes that's 48 hours it rained and rained and rained... we had a total of 8.5 inches in the rain gauge. We still have several roads in the area that are under water.... I'm not really complaining.... I know that some of you had to postpone Christmas a day or two........

Thanks to Oregon Curly for the challenge Same Shot, Same Spot every Saturday for a year!!

A precursor to Noah's Ark!!! Glad it is drying off now! We had warmer-than-normal temps.

I hope it dries up and you get lots of sunshine. A wonderful Saturday shot Maurie!

It always dries up sooner or later. It is good to see that you are getting some good rain. Nice shot, Maurie.

I like this shot Maurie...I like the tree branches in there! We had first snow....then a lot of all the rain and melt off.....causing flooding here too!!!

8.5 inches of rain - 2 things to keep in mind: 1) you don't have to shovel it and 2) out here we call that a light mist. ;-) Good shot, it really does look soggy - I thought you'd taken up rice farming like the neighboring land.

LOL, OC.... with this last rain fall.... this has become a record breaking year.... the WETTEST year every recorded, since they started keeping records in the late 1800's..... just over 81 inches of rain....

It really looks wintery and very wet! We have gotten a bunch of rain ourselves and a hard wind storm just before Christmas! Like you, I am not complaining, a lot of my family was in that blizzard and had to postpone their Christmas, but at least they were safe and I am very thankful for that!

Just imagine if that rain had been snow!! We got lots of rain here in the last two days, and people in flood-prone areas are having a problem. The up side is that it melted the snow, and today it's sunny and 60 degrees! Go figure!!

I guess you would say you had a WET Christmas!! Bummer about all the rain!

WOW! You've definitely had the rain this year, although I guess OC has the bragging rights to the most days of rain year in and year out. If you could figure out what country was the exact opposite of Arkansas on the globe, you could check to see if your water has reached there yet!!
