just a little something to keep you warm on these COLD winter days ahead...

The recipe:
1 lb. of ground beef - browned or I used lean venison
1 onion
1 can corn
1 can pinto beans
1 can chili beans
1 can Rotel
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 pkg. Taco seasoning
1 pkg. Ranch dressing mix

serve with a side of corn muffins
This is a Weight Watchers recipe.... when using the venison, this has 0 points!!!!

    mmmm... i make a similar recipe, adding hominy and sometimes a bit of pasta, we call it indian soup.

    Dang! I'm about ready for bed and you made me hungry! That is a great looking meal, well presented. Will have to try it with bear meat. Question: What is 'Rotel'?

    OC, the "rotel" is found in the canned tomato section.... a blend of chopped tomato, spices and peppers.... we use it in Cheese Dip :)

    I LOVE this soup. I make it a lot. Try a dollop of low fat sour cream on top, and some crushed up doritoes. YUM. I call it the "open and dump" soup because all you have to do is open cans and dump them in. So good.
