Thos spots on his tongue started out very little when he was a baby. They have grown a lot as he has aged. I'm reading a wonderful book right now, "The Soul of A Dog." Wonderful stories about animals written to show the depth of their souls. This boy has infinite love for us and just about anybody/anything crossing his path. Another GREAT book to read that shows dogs in a way you will never forget is "The Art of Racing in the Rain." This guy knows he is not supposed to come up on the couch. This morning he put his front feet up on me and came towards me for a hug. Next thing I knew I had invited him all the way up. ALmost instantly, he found all the right crevassases in my lap to snuggle his shouldler into, laid his head down across my stomach and took a nap. I'm such a pushover fro him. He's almost 7 now. STOP THE CLOCK!!!

The better you get to know a dog, the more you will see they do understand. They do have feelings. Its like a child, the more you teach them, the smarter they are.
