Where I live now I tend to hear about this stuff in advance. visiting my hometown of montreal yesterday I happened upon this mass die-in. I had been spending the day shooting headshots for a good friend when I lucked out on this. they were protesting the death of a cyclist on montreal street by a motorist.
It was incredible. They shut down rue ste. catherine in the late afternoon on a saturday. closed the city for ten minutes.
It was beautiful. I would say that it made a lot of montreal motorists angry, but that would mean the protesters really had no effect.

At first I thought it was planned, but when I read the description - I thought this photo speaks volumes and may be used for embracing alternative transportation methods. Great shot regardless
