And then shall He send His angels and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven...Verily I say unto you that this generation shall not pass till all these things be done...
St. Mark 13:27-30
I am posing next to a copied print made from the original photograph at a photo lab of my Great Aunt Gladys Turner.

Gladys, was Grandma Bessie's youngest sister and this is her HS graduation picture..Sadly Gladys passed away when she was 19 years old from an ulcerated tooth. If that had happened in this day and age her life may have been spared. The family of course was devastated as she was thought of as an angel..She was beautiful, I was told and a very sweet natured young lady. She was born approximately around 1892 and she was about a year younger than her sister Rose. I am so grateful for pictures to preserve their memory.

I am holding a couple of porcelain dolls that I purchased today as they reminded me of my grandmother and her sisters when they were young.

So sad about Gladys. Like you said, too bad that didn't happen in modern times. This is a wonderful B&W composition, Andrea. The lighting above your head suggest an appropriate halo!

A very sad story, poor Gladys dies from a bad tooth and I survive cancer, how far we have come...

So many died at a young age back then, and probably a hundred years in our future, death at 100 will seem premature! Lovely capture, and thank you again for sharing more family history.

A sad but only to common story back then. Thanks for sharing. Great SP

Photos of our ancestors are priceless. I had a bad abscessed tooth once. The infection was near my brain. The dentist drained the infection then did a root canal. It's amazing to think that someone died because they did not know how to do this procedure back then! How sad!!!

I agree with Don. Since your Bible verse included angels, it is entirely appropriate. :-)
