While surely not a delicacy for others who have uploaded to this theme, guinea pig is considered just that by many of the native inhabitants of Peru. It's also interesting that there really is no standard for a "delicacy"- people's tastes vary all over the world. However, I should say that this delicacy is often more "visually attractive" than the cuy shown here- this was taken in a local village near Cuzco, during the celebration of the Virgin del Carmen).
