I started shooting on manual mode for shots where light doesn't change that much. I generally shoot using Aperture Priority, and sometimes I use Shutter Priority. So far I'm liking the results. It's a little more work, but getting consistent results is a major satisfaction. White balance was also done manually. Indirect light coming from the window.
Lightbox?

Once you get used to manual, you will love it. This is an incredible capture!!! Beautiful!

Very nice. I love his expression. It's so engaging and direct. And it's so natural. I also shoot manually and will never go back. Every now and then I will use Program Auto just to find a setting to start with, then I go adjust my shots manually. I love the creativity and choices you get to make manually.

I try to use manual as much as I can, I feel that is the whole reason for having a DSLR and feel like I am cheating when I am using auto. However...there are times when auto is a great back up! Keep on using maual....this is a great shot!!
