For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?...but if we hope for what we see not, then do we with patience wait for it...
Romans 8:24-25
--------------------------------------
It started to snow when I shot this picture at 4:30 this evening and it was beginning to get dark when I saw a male cardinal and a male downy woodpecker come to the feeder together to eat...

This is the first I have ever seen a male cardinal attempt to eat suet and we need to put more out there as the birds are crazy about it...It goes very quickly..As you see there was not too much left at the bottom for the poor little cardinal who looked very hopeful, but the Downy Woodpecker found more on top. I shot this through two panes of window glass using manual focus.

Wonderful shot, Andrea! I just put out a new suet block and a peanut block...I may be inundated with feathered friends before long! ☺

What a beautiful shot!!! I should get some suet to attract more birds. I saw a black capped chickadee and a house finch today in my backyard, but both were too far away to capture in a photo : (
