Magnolia Ave St Augustine

Labeled "one of the most beautiful streets in America" by National Geographic Magazine. The live oaks on the eastern side of the street, blown by the prevailing winds, create a graceful arch over the street.

My favorite mistake - way too sunny with shadows and wanted street to be vehicle free - not happy with result and went to B&W to try to salvage...view in lightbox.

Beautiful in mono - very dramatic - love this kind of dappled light image.

Anne says "dappled," Tricia says "deckled." While they are working the whole thing out, let me add that this is a classic image. I can understand National Geo's point of view.

The dark, hard contrast works well to enhance the mood

After olives oaks are my favorite trees but in b&w I wouldn't have guessed you were showing oaks. Anyway, the grayscale assembles earth and trees together to magnificent scene.

This looks like one of the pictures I have seen of "Old Florida". Classically beautiful. The black and white make the most of the mottled shade.
