This mockingbird has his choice of a suet block, millet/sunflower seed, peanut block or small bits of apple. After a long wait (and trying to be patient), I now have a steady string of "customers" at my new bird-feeding eatery.

This is a beautiful capture, Don! Mockingbirds usually are hard to photograph. Great detail. He has obviously learned about Don's Deli for Birds.

The little mockingbird is probably thinking "decisions, decisions, decisions." You are such a good papa to your birds, Don, and this is a lovely capture!! What an amazingly beautiful dof, and the bird is so clear and sharp. Very nicely photographed!

My 300mm lens really comes in handy for shots like this! Also helps to be only 15 ft. away and stand VERY still.

This is fantastic Donald!!! All your patience has paid off. Now you have caught the birding fever. I can see you running back and forth to the store to get more food and birdbaths. LOL. The humingbirds love Lantana!

Regenia is right about the Mockingbirds here, the love shiny things and they sing a beautiful repertoire of songs. I am so glad that you are getting guests at your feeders now. This is a great capture of the Mockingbird : )

Wow!!! You got a very good capture of this bird!...We have Mockingbirds in the summer time in our part of the country but they go south when it gets cold...I have never seen one on our feeder yet. Btw, I am happy to report that the page I dedicated to you on the theme inspired by a JPG member went Hot on my Red Bellied Woodpecker Diptych who was eating suet...Thank you for inspiring me:)
