Q: How do you take a long exposure picture with people?

A: Do you know?

This is my friend Lana. I feel this photo represents dignity because of the graceful way that she has responded to a serious illness. Last summer she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and has had to endure many rounds of chemotherapy and many tests, some of which were downright painful. She has handled her illness very admirably and I admire her tremendously for the way that she has coped.

She is a fighter and a hero! Her smile is beautiful and goes deep. This is a fantastic tribute to your dear friend. I especially admire her courage because she is fighting two battles...hers and her husbands. I would call this "Courage"

It's the face of hope that you get back when you give to research, it's the friends that inspire us to give freely. A beautiful portrait and friend.

this is a nice photo of Lana! She has endured a lot in the last year, but she is very lucky to have you as her friend! "I'm a survivor' would be a good title.

I would suggest "Courageous Beauty". To have a lovely smile like that after all the pain shows a tremendous amount of courage. Excellent capture, Ann. I admire her too.

Even before I read your story about this photo, I thought this was a tremendous portrait of a woman that would be someone to get to know. My heart goes out to her along with my admiration. I doubt that I could be so brave...
