To me the kitchen is one of the most important rooms in a home, it is where all the family is nurtured a place to feel that food is prepared and served with love and having eaten well feel satisfied also very often once satisfied one is able to approach subjects that normally are unspoken and one is able to find solutions.

I remember, very young, growing up in Rio & in Minas, a "mineira" mother ( = from Minas Gerais), where the days, i.e., Life, started and ended in the kitchen; light food & delicious coffee & white&kinda "wet" cheese, guava or mango paste, naturally ripened fruit...

It got stuck w me all these years 'cause _now_, all grown up (4 a while, now) I've started cooking. From scratch! Very proud when buying food not a single box, nothing "processed", all fresh. At this stage, pretty darn good...
