sure is beat up, I have chipped off the filter rim, scratched my lens, totally abused my sensor trying to nose grease it clean and have had to "dry" it out several times.
I call it my 3rd eye.
don't know if it really matter what brand you drag along with you...but if you don't take one with you, it doesn't really matter at all.
