This street was named after Martin and Mary Murphy who bought a portion of Rancho Patoria de las Borregas in 1850 for $12,500 establishing a wheat farm.
They were originally from Missouri and moved to California on first wagon train to successfully cross the Sierra Nevada mountain.
BTW, those backs belong to my officemates. We just had a wonderful lunch to celebrate February birthday celebrants.

Very nice, particularly in color! When we lived in Mountain View (1956-58), Sunnyvale was little more than a diner and a gas station! How things have changed!
