Before opening the door
To a grocery store..
I captured two strangers
In my photo shot
From the parking lot...
Each had a recumbent bike
The covered seats
Where they sat and lodged
Were not exactly alike.
Traffic they may have dodged
Pedaling on the busy streets,
But here they were carefree
Traveling merrily on their way
With new adventures to see
Embracing life this day.

I shot this image in May of 2008 and the couple almost got away out of range of my camera but I caught up with them:) My husband and I went grocery shopping at this same place today, and it brought back memories of this picture which I am just now posting for the Transportation Theme.

Recumbent bicycles are so much easier on the body to ride than a standard bicycle. This is a great photo of a couple of guys out for a ride!
