A group of snowshoers from Stephenville NL. spent a beautiful February morning exploring in the Annieopsquotch Mountains(Mi'kmaq word meaning terrible rocks), This mountain range is located between Victoria Lake and Red Indian Lake near the Burgeo Highway.

I make a number of trips up there every year. As a matter of fact, I was going to go up yesterday ... but when I got there it was snowing. I did see a group of hikers and skiers (I was talking to two of them) from Stephenville ... they had just got down off the mountain. If it were you guys, it must be quite a coincidence. :-)

Yes Peter it was probably us ,thirteen in our group allthogether. We left the road to snowshoe up at 9 AM and got back at 2 PM. The morning was beautiful but it started to snow after lunch, Beautiful place and I will be going back again for sure.
