Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily; be thou my strong rock, for an house of defense to save me...For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for my name's sake lead me and guide me... Psalm 31: 2-3

--------------------------

This homestead

Is a peaceful place

Filled with grace..

The dairy cow

In the yard

Bent her head

To take a bow

In its regard...

She did not have to hide

Behind a broken fence,

For Jesus her guide

Gave her house defense..

He is her rock and fortress

To build upon each day.

With talk spoken to express

The Parables His way..

Alas! The cow proved motion

Could be blurred unto the grasses.....

The Lord moved the masses

And stirred the crowd's emotion.

Poetry by me, AJP

-----------------------------------------------------------

I shot this image, September 13, 2008 as a passenger in our car when my husband and I were driving down a country road...I thought it interesting at the time to see the lone cow eating in the yard so close to this lovely house and I didn't know if the cow actually belonged there or if it had gone astray..

After I viewed the picture I was even more surprised to see how it all looked like a surreal dream. The grass looked like it was skipping in the air from the blurred movement and motion of the car driving past. A few days ago I was going through my files and came again upon this picture and am now just posting it for the Zoom theme.

Thanks for comments...I agree Joe...I thought the same thing. Maybe the

cow works better than the lawn mower:)

Perfect entry. One would definitely wonder, because it sure doesn't look like a typical farmhouse!!

I took the day off yesterday and completely missed this! This is one of my favorite Psalms. The poetry is excellent, of course, and the image is superb. This looks like Maine! Wonderful entry!
