This image of the old jail in Jerome Arizona show the decomposition and forces of nature at work by the cracks in the back wall that was bowing in to the awesome forces of nature. The bars in the window and door to the right still visible in the crumbling wreckage provide an interesting element to this photograph. The lush greenery knocking at the closed door seemed to want to get in and rescue the few plants inside. I wondered if the window with bars had ever had any glass or kind of covering to protect the interior and their prisioners from the harsh elements or the door a cover to prevent any escape. Once again one can see evidence of modern life through the bars the make up the door.
