If you love an image (whether it's yours or someone else's) and want to make sure others get a chance to see it, you can “feature” it by choosing the “Spotlight” button.
When an image is Spotlighted, it receives enhanced visibility in premium spots throughout the site. Spotlighted images are rotated through these higher-visibility positions to ensure the best opportunity for the images to be seen by JPG users.
If you see a great photo that would make a perfect entry for one of our Shoot Out photo contests but it was uploaded by another user, now you can enter that photo in the contest and, if it wins, you get to share in the contest winnings.
Like a photo editor, if you've got an eye for great work, find it and submit it to a contest. If it wins, since you staked the entry fee, you'll take home part of the prize (the rest, of course, goes to the member who shot the image).

This wild flowers are all over the road now!
This flower reminds me of an early experiences I had when I just arrived here in the States. I just came and lived with my sister in So. San Francisco. During those early years, I don't know what to expect nor know how would I adopt to my new environment. It was so totally different. I came here in the month of July, 1981. The flowers are still in bloom. The mall, which I was so excited to hang out was full of beautiful flowers on the planters. I can't believe that it was a real one that I would secretly touch it to make sure it was real, lol!
I remember this particular wild flower. My sister's front yard was full of this and since I was newbie and was trying to help my sister with her house, I cut a lot of this flowers and put it in a vase to decorate her house. My sister did not say anything, she just smile at me and said it is so pretty. I did not mind if this is weed, at least I could see some flowers to brighten her house. Few days gone by and I was planning to replace the withering flowers when my sister pull me aside. She said she really appreciate it but unfortunately it turns out my brother in law is allergic to weeds, lol!
So gone were my decorating experiments, =(.
