I was asleep , It was Friday night my girlfreind came home at 11pm and woke me up and said there was about 400 hundread people alot of police and helicopters...........So 10mins later i went from a peacefull sleep to standing in the middle of a riot half asleep with my camera and backpack loaded and ready to shoot.

Now i don't get paid for this and i don't have health cover , but i sure as hell wasn't missing out on this it was only ten min drive from my house and very chaotic the highway was completely blocked , this all started over a drag/car race show was cancelled due to a contract not going through , a tyre shop that wasnt directly invovled was smashed by people kicking the front windows in and smashing it with street signs and throwing flares which came close to petrol stations ,

I later found out i was very lucky as there was a Newspaper photographer there who got bashed with a baseball bat for taking photos.

There turned out to be over a thousand people most were watching
