Taken in Lahore, Pakistan with the traditional wrestlers training in the background. The trainee wrestlers never let women see them training and don't marry until they are fully trained out of sheer superstition. They let me inside their sacred training ground (akharaa) because they owed a favor to my driver. They were, however hospitable and happy to receive the attention. This photograph was part of a series I did to express my personal state of exploring a new city that I just couldn't relate to after moving and eventually falling in love with it. The series was titled 'Romancing Lahore'.

Lahore is one of the major cities of Pakistan and is rich with beautiful architecture and culture. Compared to my native city of Karachi, which is a fast paced business center, Lahore is slower paced. The Lahorites are known to be people who know how to enjoy life. It is also the fashion center of Pakistan.
