Q: Story of the week

A: Do you know?

Meet Abbe, my standard poodle and Service Dog. I took this photo after reading about the photo challenge: Inspired by Henri Cartier-Bresson. When I saw his name I instantly knew I had to submit a picture and I knew it would be of Abbe even if I normally do not do "portraits". When I was in college I took photograghy, black and white particularly and Henri was one of the artist I studied. Most of my work was fine tuned and learned after his. If it had not been for his feel, and eye I would not have stuck with the art. I shot b&w for years and still do. At the time I was studying to be a CPA and found my new love in photography so I think because of Henri he saved my life. Him and Abbe have a lot in common. She is my Service Dog, Trained to sense my Gran Mal seizures and another 65 other things. Because of her, my life has been extended a couple of times. She is now 7 years old and I am now working again, shooting pictures, loving life with her by my side some of the time. She is an old soul as much as Henri. They both show it in their work and when you see them it resonates off them.
