A RedBubble group I co-host is running a challenge:

The Challenge
For work shot between April 1-14

For those in the northern hemisphere it’s just starting to warm up and for those down under it’s still warm enough to be out and about with your cameras.

So for this challenge all we are asking is that you go out and shoot something fresh and new on the street for this challenge. Post your new image onto the bubble and then add it here.

I decided to post some photos of the recent flood.

Video of the National Guard headed for our little "island" community to evacuate some of our neighbors:

The proximity of the stop sign to the water really shows how much water there is! Incredible.

Devastating. I agree with Sonia. The stop sign tells a frightening story. Great shot to record this record flood.

I agree with Joe...it also denotes how deep and treacherous the waters are...when mother nature decides to do something, no one or nothing can stop her..

With one more sting in the tail of Winter, Spring will sure to be just around the corner, down under.
