Great shot, Maurie! My Dad used to catch those in Old Hickory Lake near Nashville and bring them home for supper.

I remember catching them as a kid, with my grandmother. Also in a pond, with a pole my grandad whitled from a sapling. Brought back nice memories! Very nice shot Maurie!

I can remember first hearing of those when we came from England - couldn't figure out why ANYONE would want to eat a fish by that name. Great catch, though, and a great shot for the memory.

There is nothing crappie about that beautiful fish. I am glad he is free and not dinner. Great catch and capture.

how do you like? No. 5 or 6, lol. Our oriental store here will clean the fish you bought and fry it for you. No. 5 is reqular and no. 6 is crispy. Good catch, literally and figuratively.

He is pretty. We have them here, but call them speckled perch (crappie is the correct name). A nice catch and capture, Maurie.
