The person in the photo called DJ Gallant. A DJ and musician who came from Jakarta, Indonesia.

Photo taken on January 18, 2010 at a place called the ‘Bibliotheque’, which sits in the middle of the heart of Jakarta Indonesia. At that time I was attending a wedding anniversary celebration the father of a friend of mine.

That place is a mix of library, located on the upper floor and restaurant located on the ground floor, which presents the cuisine of Eastern Europe and the Middle East. As a library combined with a restaurant, then this place regularly on Sunday nights or on nights and other special days always bring a / group of musicians to fill the event. DJ Gallant is one DJ who regularly fill the Bibliotheque with his music.

The music he played mostly classical music combines melodies of medieval Europe with top 40 music, House and classic disco, not stretched and dynamic. Because it was a nightime, nuances in the library was attended by numerous visitors who came to dinner meals, drinks and is very rare that came specially to read in the library.

Maybe this place is not purely a library in which people come not only to the concentration in reading. But the nuances and the uniqueness of the place makes me require to pull a camera and make a few pictures of it. High shelves contain classic books makes them very decorative for photograph. Combined with delicious food, good wine and of course a reliable DJ, is an obligation for me to document them in images.
