Yesterday I captured this addition to my Italian people photo essay in the popular Lazio lakeside village of Trevignano Romano. During the warmer months, Romans flock to this charming village, which is about 30 miles north of Rome and about ten minutes from where we live in Monterosi. Shortly before I captured this little guy trying to clean off his feet, while his mom chatted in Italian on her cell phone, he had fun down at the beach feeding the swans. Fred had taken a piece of bread from our lunch at a lakeside café to feed the swans. While he tossed the first piece of the bread slice to a swan, I told Fred there was an adorable little red-headed Italian boy behind him who obviously would love to feed the swan. Of course Fred couldn’t resist giving the child the rest of the bread to do just that. He had great fun watching this little boy get such a big kick over tossing bits of bread into the lake and seeing the swan gobble it up.
