These are my 3rd grade art students. We were on our Houston public sculpture tour. They have spent a year learning about sculpture, and this trip is the culmination of that year. We visit an art car maker's studio, a Miro, a Dubuffet, a Nevelson, a Henry Moore, the Houston Policemen's Memorial, and then they have lunch in the sculpture garden at the Museum. As their silhouettes were pressed against the window I had the idea to have them pose as Egyptians. Egyptian sculpture was the first sculpture they studied this year. Just a fun shot! We had a great day.

What a great pic. The little girl in the middle (next to the tall boy) is so proud of her form! Nice little dab of culture for these youngsters!

that is so cute, and to get all 3rd grader to do the same thing at the same time, you've got to be a really fantastic teacher. Love this!
