The spring before last in the charming Umbrian village of Spoleto, Fred and I enjoyed lunch at an outdoor café along the steps leading down to Piazza Duomo. During that meal, I got caught up in a wedding shoot taking place on the stairs. I so wanted to take my own pictures of the happy Italian couple, but from where I was seated there was no way I could subtly snap shots. Then the photographer taking the wedding photos went off to get or do something. I captured this shot while the bride and groom waited for the photographer to return.
Note: these three shots are the last for my photo essay, Revealing Italian Threads. Hope you enjoy them. If you haven't yet, please read the essay. Thanks. I so enjoyed sharing these shots with my JPG friends.
In the Revealing Italian Threads photo essay.

Deborah, this is certainly fabulous, my friend. The attitude of the groom, the slanted walkway, I love everything about it.!

I lovel it!! I might have entitled this one, "Having Second Thoughts." Looks like the groom might be trying to coax the bride back to reality.

I love this candid and unposed moment captured as the newlyweds relax for a few minutes during their hectic day. The surroundings are beautiful too.

I think it was meant to happen for the wedding photographer to leave for that short time so that you could take this charming relaxed image that wasn't posed.
