Nude portraiture is imagery in our natural state of being yet 'nakedness' has had plenty of controversy with its exposure.
In History, naked portraiture has been embraced as an art form through the centuries:
“To be naked is to be deprived of our clothes and the word naked implies that one must have some embarrassment in that condition... but the nude is not the subject of art but rather a form of art.” -Kenneth Clark 1956
For Clark, the nude was an ideal, an artistic creation far removed from the specifics of its real, imperfect model.
